Thelma Ruth Thomas Miller, age 85

Thelma Ruth Thomas Miller, age 85 of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020.

Ruth was born in Watauga County on February 3, 1935 and was a daughter of the late William and Virginia Louise Reece Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Porter Miller.

Survivors include her sons, David Miller and wife Lucy of Rutherfordton, Keith Miller and fiancée Sherry of Mooresboro, Donald Miller and Paul Miller and wife Melody all of Ellenboro, her daughters, Loretta Moore, Leslie Dotson and husband Wayman all of Rutherfordton, and Jeannette Bailey and fiancé Scott of Gettysburg, PA, a sister, Ophelia Hartness of Cleveland, Ohio. There are 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
