Thomas Metcalf, "Tommy", 78, of Forest City

Thomas Metcalf, "Tommy", 78, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

A native of Rutherford County, Tommy was the son of the late Clyde and Margaret Hardin Metcalf. He was a US Army veteran, member of Tanner's Grove Church, and owned and operated Metcalf's auto body repair shop for many years.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Brenda King; daughter Stephanie Metcalf; grandchildren Landon, Natalie, and Cameron; stepchildren Brian King, Susan Hayes and James King; brother John Metcalf; sister Elizabeth Bridges; eight step grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by a son, Grant Metcalf.

Funeral services were held February 16 at Tanner's Grove Church with Rev. Pat Jobe and Rev. Steve Chappell officiating.

Hospice of the Carolina Foothills is the family's charity of choice.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
