Todd Smith, age 56

Todd Smith, age 56 of Forest City, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of Shirley Griffin Smith of Forest City and the late T. Pryor Smith.  Todd had worked for many years as a building contractor, was an avid fisherman, and a former member of the Forest City Fire Department.  He was also a member of First Baptist Church, Forest City.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his son, Collin Smith of Forest City; a brother, Tommy Smith and wife Crystal of Forest City; and his nieces, Kaley and Ailey Smith.

Graveside services were held in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Reverend Tony Spencer and Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
