Tom Horwood, age 74

Tom Horwood, age 74, of Spindale, passed away Friday, March 5, 2020.

Tom was born January 10, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Norman Horwood and Laura Newman Horwood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Horwood, Jr. and his lifetime best friend, Jim O'Brien.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna Horwood; two daughters, Stephanie Horwood of Anaheim, CA and Sarah Klassen (Zack) of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Leslie Cunningham (Ron) of Idaho, Darcy Trumbull (Michael) and Norma Horwood all of Arizona; two step-sons, Craig Acton (Jean) of Vermont and Jason Acton (Lisa) of New Jersey. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Victory Baptist Church in Spindale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, 1364 US Highway 221, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
