Tony Stamper, age 63, of Mooresboro

Tony Stamper, age 63, of Mooresboro, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

Born July 25, 1955 in Davidson County, NC, he was the son of the late Glenn D. Stamper and Odessa Smith Stamper. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Tony enjoyed watching sports, doing laundry and drinking coffee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Claudia.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Wright and husband, Jon of Ellenboro and Kacey Lee and husband, Jason of Bostic; two sons, Stacey Stamper and Toby Stamper both of Pickens, SC; three sisters, Glenda, Carol and Darlene; two brothers, Pete and Melvin. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Military honors were provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Burial took place in the Western Carolina Veteran's Cemetery in Black Mountain.
