Tony Sturgill, age 61

Tony Sturgill, age 61, of Forest City, passed away July 12, 2021.

Tony was born February 7, 1960 in Norton, Virginia to the late Dewey Earl Sturgill and Pearl Donnells Sturgill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Sturgill and Dewey Sturgill, Jr; sisters, Jeanette Sturgill, Dolly Sturgill, Stella Beverly, Mable Sturgill, Barbara Sturgill and Fran Sturgill.

Those left to cherish his memory include his life-companion of 25 years, Libby Cole; children, William Lee Sturgill (Laura) of Wise, Virginia, Justin Cole of Forest City, Holli Rogers (Cruise Hampton) of Sandy Mush, Brandie Cole of Forest City, Hailey Sturgill (Vincent) of Ellenboro, Caleb Sturgill of Ellenboro and Chelsea Sturgill (Chris) of Ellenboro; brothers, Rufus Ray Sturgill (Ann) of Wise, VA, Jeff Sturgill (Lisa) of Cherryville, Randy Sturgill (Kathy) of Wise, VA; sisters, Rose Navey (Larry Lovelace) and Roberta Gardner (Billy) all of Cherryville; the mother of his children, Vicki Sturgill of Ellenboro; 10 grandchildren, 48 nieces and nephews, a host of extended family members.

A memorial service was held July 17, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Allen Culbertson and Rev. Shane Beverly officiating.
