Toys for Tots distribution is tomorrow and Saturday

Employees from the Forest City Facebook Data Center volunteered Monday afternoon with Toys for Tots at the Christopher B. Ebert Marine Corps League headquarters on Trade Street in Forest City. Employees (left to right) Hector Flores, Kim Jones and Miranda Carpenter helped prepare stockings for the more than 1,000 children who will receive toys for Christmas. While they stuffed stockings, Marine Corps volunteer Claudia Conrad sorted other toys. Her late husband, Roland Conrad, was a member of the League and a Vietnam War veteran.

Distribution of the toys will be Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 by appointment only beginning at 8 a.m. Donations of toys and money are still being collected. For more information about distribution or donations, call Marine Troy Stanley, coordinator at 828-447-8526.
