Valoree Harrill

Valoree Harrill, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away July 27, 2023. She was 95 years old.

Valoree lived and died in Rutherford County, NC. She worked in textiles, raised a family and served her Lord, as a committed church member and Christian.

She lost her husband, John (J.B.) Harrill, in 2002. Also waiting for her in heaven are parents, Arvell and Macie Guffey, brothers Reid, Baxter, Roy (Ruth), Garland (Joyce) and Buddy, and sisters Mary Willie (Seaph), Eunice (Robert), Dorothy (Robert) and Dexter (Dallas).

Living her legacy are her children, Wanda Sweatt (Jeff-departed), Joan Singleton (Jack), John Harrill (Mary), and Janet Harrill; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, Hazel Guffey (Baxter-departed), Patsy Guffey (Buddy-departed) and Elizabeth Harrill McCusker (Don-departed), many nieces and nephews, and one great niece.

Memorials may be made to Sisters of Service, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Arrangements took place at Harrelson Funeral Home, August 1st followed by burial at graveside at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Forest City.
