Volunteers assist with Habitat's 'Hammering for Heroes'

Representatives from Spindale Fire Department (above), Green Hill Fire Department, Rutherford County EMT, Forest City Police Department and service members from each branch of the military volunteered their time on Saturday, Sept. 12, during Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity's "Hammering for Heroes" event. Eleven projects were completed from building stairs to doing yard work, with most of the work on three Habitat houses that are under construction. One hundred and eighteen volunteers took part.
