Wade J. Dysart, age 85

Wade J. Dysart, age 85, of Forest City, NC passed away Friday, January 18, 2013.

Wade was born January 30, 1927 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Broadus Dysart and Lola Holland Dysart.  Wade was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Navy.  He was a heavy equipment operator for TXI Cement and later for Duke Power for many years before his retirement.  He also worked for Alexander Mills for several years.  He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was an avid dove hunter, fisherman and enjoyed camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Dysart and Yates Dysart and by two sisters, Vernie Huskey and Martha Radford.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Ada Radford Dysart; two sons, Wade Jr. Dysart and wife, Glenda Kay of Mt. Gilead, NC and Gary Dysart and wife, Linda Kay of Forest City; one sister, Aileen Moorehead of Ellenboro; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

     Memorial services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Owen Duncan officiating.
