Wayne Greene, age 78

Wayne Greene, age 78, of Ellenboro, passed away March 9, 2022.

Wayne was born Feb. 11, 1944 in Cleveland County to the late Thomas Marshall Greene and Ruby Garver Greene. He co-owned Golden Eagle Textiles and was the owner and operator of Big G Rug Company for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Harris; brother, Billy Ray Greene and a sister, Ansley Greene Terry.

Left to cherish fond memories are daughter, Karen Hardin-Parker of Ellenboro; son, Jonny Greene of Ellenboro; the mother of his children, Brenda Greene of Ellenboro; six grandchildren, eigtht great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Earl Greene (Dorothy), Barbara Cooke (Charlie), Miles Greene (Betty), Milan Gatlin (Chester), Wanda Smith (Terry), Rocky Greene (Sally), Ricky Greene (Benita), Donald Greene (Luann).

A graveside service was held March 11, 2022 at the Christian Fellowship Missionary Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Randy Church officiating.
