Wayne McKinney, age 77

Wayne McKinney, age 77, of Forest City, died April 28, 2022.

Wayne was born May 23, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late Carl Hugh McKinney and Alda Amos McKinney. He worked in textiles most of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by several brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish fond memories are his son, Johnny McKinney (Kim) of Ellenboro; daughter, Lisa Carpenter (Jeff) of Forest City; brothers, Paul McKinney (Maxine) and Don McKinney (Michael) all of Forest City and Harold McKinney of Morristown, Tennessee; sister, Jean Mathis (Paul) of Rutherfordton, three grandchildren.

The funeral was held May 2 at Chase Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Butler officiating.
