William Carl Hyder, age 82

William Carl Hyder, age 82 of Bostic, died Friday, February 25, 2022.

Carl was born June 15, 1939, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Paul Forrest Hyder and Mary McCombs Hyder.

He earned a bachelor's degree in Nursing from Gaston Community College and was also a Paralegal. Carl worked as Registered Nurse with special needs children for 30 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Forest City. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include son, Terry Hyder of Florida, daughters, Cindy Hyder Kiser of Winston-Salem, and Lisa Hyder Wilson of Bostic, sister, Judy Hyder Adkinson and her husband, Dr. Franklin Adkinson of Baltimore, Maryland, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as a niece and nephew and great-nieces and great nephews.

The funeral service was held March 1, 2022, in The Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. Rhonda Blackburn and Rev. Jason Madison officiating.
