William Crayton "Bill" Grant, age 92

William Crayton "Bill" Grant, age 92 of Forest City, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Bill as he was known, was born on December 14, 1928 in Rutherford County and he was a son of the late John Crayton Grant and Sarah Robertson Grant

Bill was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Sue Champion Grant who passed in 2002. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Max Grant.

Survivors include his daughter, June B. Childers and husband Keith of Boiling Springs, SC, his sister, Peggy G. Hardin of Rutherfordton, two grandsons, a nephew, two nieces, and his dear friend and companion, Joyce Matheny.

A memorial service was held in The Padgett and King Chapel. Private interment of his ashes was in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
