William "Gabby" Ellis Newton, Jr., age 78

Well-known musician and singer, William "Gabby" Ellis Newton, Jr., age 78, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020.

He is predeceased by his parents, Ellis L. Newton, Sr. and Ellen Lovette Newton; three sisters, Lillian Mode (Bynum), Lois Street (Ben) and Barbara Annette Newton.

Ellis leaves behind to cherish his memories Cathy Locke of the home; Brayden and Joshua Petty also of the home; one brother, Oakly Gene Newton (Donna) of Willow Springs, NC; two sisters, Judy Head (Bill) of Shelby NC, and Renee Smith (John) of Mooresboro NC.
