William Robert "Bob" Foster, age 91

William Robert "Bob" Foster, age 91 of Forest City, and a former resident of Greenville, SC passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017.

Bob was born in Greenville on August 12, 1926 and was a son of the late Horace Balfour Foster, Sr. and Thaylia Griffin Foster. Bob was a longtime member of St. James Episcopal Church in Greenville, SC and more recently attended Spindale United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during World War II. Following the war, Bob enrolled at Clemson University where he graduated with at degree in Architecture and spent his career working as an Architect.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Tolbert Foster, his brother, H. Balfour Foster and his daughter-in-law, Sloane Foster.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara White Foster of the home, three sons, Robert Foster and his wife Donna of Greenville and their children, Erin Foster Farry & husband Robert and Emily Foster Langston and husband Josh, John Foster and his wife Joan of Charleston, SC and their children, Josh and Benjamin Foster, Marshall Foster and his children, Mason and Dillon Foster, a step-son, Forrest White and his wife Desda and their children, Kerrigan, Haley and Austin.

A graveside memorial service was held at the Woodlawn Memorial Park on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greenville, SC. Military Honors were accorded at the graveside.
