William W. Brown age 67

William W. Brown age 67 of Charlotte died Saturday, August 8, 2026. William was born August 21, 1958, in Rutherford County and was the son of the late William L. Brown and Helen Callahan Brown. He worked as an Automation and Control Engineer.

William grew up in Forest City where he was baptized in the First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School where he played on the 1976 Championship Baseball team. He was an Eagle Scout, a former EMT and member of the Rutherford County Rescue Crew and he also worked for the Forest City Daily Courier.

William also attended N.C. State University, Isothermal Community College, CPCC and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received a degree in electrical engineering.

Following graduation, he remained in Charlotte where he worked and raised a family. He also started a photography business, Brown photography. William was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Reynolds-Brown, his son Justin Brown of Charlotte, his daughters, Hillary Brown (Josh McLeod) of Wilmington, and Haley Brown of Charlotte, his brothers, Paul Brown of Charlotte and Stephen Brown (Alletta) of Mississippi, and his sister, Julie Brown (Henry) of Union Mills.

The memorial service was held August 15 in The Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. Clyde Buckner officiating.
