Zennie Price Greene, age 73

Zennie Price Greene, age 73, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

Zennie was born August 27, 1945 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Perry Price and Eula Mae Hardin Price. She worked at Fieldcrest and Mastercraft Mills for most of her life. She loved cooking and baking for her family. Zennie was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness and enjoyed going to revivals and special meetings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Robert Vernon Greene, Sr.; two brothers, Doug and Sherrill Matheny and a sister, Martha Davidson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Robert Vernon Greene, Jr. of Polk County, James Michael Greene (Rebecca) of Harris and George Thomas Greene (Donna Hodge) of Forest City; three grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 U.S. Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.
