Since it's early March, spring sports have arrived. Now that basketball is over, it's now onto High School baseball. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to college basketball's March Madness and we can talk about that next week.

Brandon Gosey, member of the Rutherford County Board of Education, has organized a community wide forum called, "Keeping Schools Safe." Designed to give the community an opportunity to have their voices heard on this serious topic, Gosey tells us, "I am excited about organizing this much needed discussion between our community, our members, elected officials and services providers."

Some of my most vivid memories come from the days of being on the lake. I can remember catching stripe bass as fast as I could cast but I can also remember being scared to death because I had not left early enough to beat the lightning storm.
