The long, hot, summer days are trying for those who love the outdoors. Fishing can only be tolerated very early or very late, and hunting is not even in the picture. These times of drought make us edgy and uneasy while we are waiting for better times.

 Sometimes, it seems that we live in a pace of extremes. The action is either fast and furious, or slow and non-existent. There are no days that the hunting and fishing is so good that we go at it in a leisurely pace. No, there is no dimmer switch on our activities. We are either on or off.
