Free Course for Families of Mentally Ill
The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Rutherford-Cleveland is offering this series of 12-week classes beginning Thurs. Sept. 8, 6:30-9pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, in Shelby. The class is designed to help people who are dealing with the issues of living with a loved one who has been diagnosed with one or more of these no fault biological brain disorders.    A free mobile phone application with comprehensive information about North Carolina’s state parks has been introduced by the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation in partnership with Friends of State Parks and ParksByNature Network, a developer of mobile, interactive networks.
